China is home to one of the world’s richest cultures and oldest civilizations. The ancient Chinese civilization thrived in the rich basin of the Yellow River in the North China Plain. Since ancient times, Chinese culture has been heavily influenced by various philosophies and ideals. Today, the Chinese government has established numerous elements of traditional Chinese culture to be fundamental to Chinese society. Elements such as traditional Chinese art, literature, music, film, fashion, and architecture have recently seen a revival not only nationally, but also throughout the world.
A popular place to visit in Tibet, China is Barkhor. This pilgrim circuit is an area of narrow streets and a public square adjacent to the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, Tibet. Visitors can take a stroll on the circuit that travels clockwise around the Jokhang Temple. Along the way, travelers will encounter traditional market stalls selling religious trinkets, jewelry, prayer flags, jak butter, etc. As visitors stroll around the temple, they will also hear prayers being chanted, which creates a “medieval” atmosphere.
SoloMate Travel is offering a great singles travel trip to China this April 12th through 23rd. This singles trip includes a journey to Barkhor, the Yu Gardens, the Shanghai Museum, the Jade Buddha Temple, the Flower Market, Stone Forest and of course, the Panda Research Center. The single travelers on this trip will even get to experience the roots of the Eastern heritage through two dinner shows. Our travelers will conclude their journey at the top of the world, Tibet, the highest region on earth. The spots are quickly filling up for our single travel trip to China. Reserve your spot today!

Amalfi, Italy was awesome. When I remember my trip to the Amalfi Coast, the words “stunning” and “breathtaking” come to mind. To this day, I have not witnessed such incredible scenery in my life!
The highlight for me was the village of Pompeii. To find myself among these ruins and trying to wrap my mind around the fact that people once lived here… I can’t possibly describe that feeling I had. The whole experience was truly fascinating.
Another highlight was definitely sipping Limoncello in the main square on the island of Capri, while watching stylish, and in most cases very attractive, people go about their daily business knowing that I was experiencing my dream holiday.
The wine and the food were remarkable, but most of all, the succulent fruit fresh from the trees, the ice cream, and of course, the coffee were memorable and tasty!
What an experience! Italy is the place to visit in Europe. If you’ve never been, I strongly suggest taking a vacation to Italy. You will absolutely love the Amalfi Coast! SoloMate Travel is taking a group of single travelers to Italy’s Amalfi Coast in May of 2012. Join our trip by calling 1-855-290-7050 today to reserve your spot!

Gorillas are the largest living primates. They dwell on the ground and live in the forests of central Africa. There are two distinct species of gorillas – the Eastern Gorilla and the Western Gorilla. The Congo River separates the habitats of these two species of gorilla. A sub-species of the Eastern Gorilla, the Mountain Gorilla, can be found in Uganda. In fact, half of the world’s population of Mountain Gorillas is found in Uganda.
Mountain Gorillas are a very fascinating species of animal. Mountain Gorillas have thicker and longer fur than the other gorilla species, which allows them to live comfortably in colder climates. Gorillas are very intelligent and highly emotional animals. Also, adult male gorillas are about ten times stronger than the biggest American football player!
The Mountain Gorilla is critically endangered due to poaching and habitat destruction. The Bwindi National Park in Uganda is one of the few places left on Earth where you can actually see these gorillas in their natural habitat. When visiting Uganda, only a few travelers are lucky enough to get the opportunity to observe these critically endangered primates in their own habitat. However, if you join us on our Exotic African Safari Single Travel Trip, you will get this unique opportunity to see Mountain Gorillas up close and personal. You will get to watch them as they eat, play, and rest – an unforgettable experience!
Uganda is known as the “Pearl of Africa” because it holds some of the world’s greatest treasures – its wildlife! Taking in the beauty of the exotic African rainforests is an experience you will never forget. What’s even better is getting the chance to see Mountain Gorillas up close and personal in their natural habitat in Uganda. You can do all of this and more with our Single Travel Trip to Uganda – Exotic African Safari in February of 2012. Spots are filling up fast, so sign up for this unforgettable single travel trip today!
