Frequently Asked Questions
How does the roommate matching service work?
Most of our guests travel solo, which is half of the fun. We make it easy and affordable with our roommate matching service.
If you would like to share a room, we will find a roommate for you at no additional charge. In the event, that a roommate can not be secured, you will not be assessed a single supplement fee.
Travelers will be asked to fill out a questionnaire allowing us to match them up with someone else on the trip; roommates are assigned by gender, interests, and smoking preference.
Availability of single rooms is limited. However, if you would like your own room, we will do our best to make that happen at a small additional charge.

Yes. A valid passport is required for all international travel. Citizens of other countries may require a Visa.

Yes. You are spending a lot of money on your vacation and it is important that you have protection in the case of an emergency. Most policies offer a waiver of all pre-existing medical conditions and cover most unexpected occurrences.
There are many types of travel insurance, but we recommend Allianz Travel Insurance as being one of the most comprehensive.
What if the trip I want is already sold out?
We provide our travelers with the opportunity to be put on a waiting list for that trip. There is always a chance that someone who has booked a trip will not be able to attend. To be put on the waiting list, contact one of our team members right away.
Will you arrange my flight to the group departure city?
No. We encourage you to do this yourself, however if you need assistance we will be happy to help you. Once you book your trip, you will be provided with a list of fellow travelers and their contact information. This will allow you to discuss travel plans and flight arrangements.
When will I receive my travel documents after booking?
Your travel documents will be shipped to you approximately 2 weeks prior to departure. Delivery of documents with non-electronic airline tickets may require a signature for your protection. In addition, we will email all pre-departure information several weeks prior to departure.
What will the travel documents include?

- Packing list
- Travel director contact information

How do I meet the group once I arrive at the destination?
When you arrive at the host airport, check-in, proceed to the gate and there will be a SoloMate travel director holding a sign displaying our group name. We will provide you with your travel director’s contact information in case you need assistance locating them in the terminal.
Can I connect with the fellow travelers before the trip?
Of course! We encourage it! We will send out an email with current travelers contact email information and their city and state. Please contact them and introduce yourself. Also, visit our Facebook page and we will have each trip separated into a group. This will allow you to get to know who you will be traveling with and even make travel arrangements with people in your area.
